Hello! We are Devlin (left) and Miles (Right). Thank you for reading about us! We live in our home in Portland, Oregon with our three friendly cats (Shelly, Sonia, and Ruth). We are excited to become parents and to expand our family through open adoption.

Devlin is a Public Health Analyst for the state of Oregon and currently pursuing his PhD. He is passionate about equal health outcomes and longer lives for Black, Indigenous, and Latino children and families. Miles is a National Program Director at a nonprofit. He is focused on providing quality mentoring for youth across the country. We attended different universities and are big fans of our alma mater’s sports teams. We are excited to share our love of college sports with our future children.

For fun, we enjoy hiking around the Pacific Northwest, watching classic 90’s movies, and spending time with our family and friends. We both have siblings with children who are going to make amazing cousins. We also try to go to one new major league baseball stadium every year, until we have seen them all. It gives us a fun excuse to explore different cities and see new places. We can’t wait to bring our child to the ones we have not visited yet!

We have been together for four amazing years and recently got married. We met in the early days of the pandemic in 2020 and knew from the beginning that we would be together forever. On our second date we talked about having children and both expressed wanting to pursue open adoption. Devlin is eager to be a compassionate and loving father, sharing his love for comic books and superheroes. Miles is enthusiastic to be a devoted father and play outside as much as possible. We are excited for large family dinners, building holiday traditions, and going to the beach together. We both look forward to getting to know the unique qualities of our child and exploring the world as a family.

We look forward to building relationships with our child’s biological family and fostering meaningful connections for them to their roots. We want our children to feel confident about their identities and to have multiple adults who love them in their lives.

We wish you the best as you consider your options for you and your child.

Warmly,

Miles and Devlin
