Hi! I’m Kristin. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a bit.
Those who know me well describe me as laid-back, loving and curious. I like to find joy in the little things in life, like sharing a home cooked meal with family and friends, dancing along to music, or filling up my camera roll with too many pictures of my pet bunny, Poppy.
Some of my favorite activities are hiking, yoga, skiing, trying new recipes, reading fiction, playing cards and board games, learning new songs on the piano, and watching movies. I love to travel near and far, especially to visit family and friends.
I have been a practicing lawyer for the past nine years (aside from a one year break to serve as a Peace Corps volunteer in Tanzania).
I love my home and community. I attended school and started my career in California, then moved to Eastern Oregon, where much of my family, including my mom, lives. It has been amazing spending more time together while enjoying the beautiful outdoors here. I recently bought a historic house here, and my favorite thing about it is that it is big enough to host family and friends, and has a guest bedroom that is always ready for company.
I am so excited to be a mom and humbled by the possibility. It will be a joy and a privilege to build an open adoption relationship with my child’s birth family on the foundation of trust, respect and putting the child first; I hope we will be good friends as well as extended family.
Thank you again.
