Tyrone and Nathan

Hello! We are Tyrone and Nathan from Seattle, Washington.

We would like to thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We look forward to adopting a child where openness is the foundation. We promise to raise our child with a true sense of self, knowing where and who they come from, and most of all we will love them unconditionally. We truly believe it takes a village to raise a child and look forward to building a relationship with our child’s birthparents.

We met in 2014 at a local coffee shop and quickly became good friends. Over the next several months, our friendship blossomed into love. We enjoy traveling both stateside as well as internationally together. We were married in 2016, and in August of that year bought our home. We’ve always wanted children, so it was important that our home could accommodate our growing family. The future nursery looks out toward Portage Bay, The Cascades, and Husky Stadium. Our neighbors are friendly, and there are four nearby parks as well the arboretum within walking distance. We both love the outdoors and taking long walks or finding new hiking trails. It’s one reason we love living in the Pacific Northwest – there is no shortage of ways to connect with nature! We enjoy taking dance and cooking classes together. Many of our evenings at home are spent playing board games and enjoying each other’s company. We like to take turns cooking for each other and believe life happens around the dinner table. It’s this quality time together that keeps us centered and reminds us of what is important.

Tyrone was born in Georgia but grew up in a military family stationed in Germany for 7 years. He was taught to help others in his community and country. After high school, Tyrone pursued a military career and served in the Army for 8 years. Although he has been honorably discharged, he continues to serve his community through volunteer work. He also loves technology, even spotlighting as the “Gadget Guru” on the evening news. He works in Seattle as a service engineer at a local tech company.

Nathan was born in Missouri before moving to Texas at the age of 10. He has always been the nurturing type, taking care of sick family members and reading to the elderly at a local nursing home. Not surprisingly, he chose a career in nursing and has practiced as an intensive care nurse in Seattle for the past 15 years. When Nathan isn’t working, you’ll likely find him kayaking, in the flower garden, or decorating our home.

We are excited at the prospect of an open adoption and look forward to parenting. We have a wonderful support system of friends and family. We want to offer our child love, stability, fun, and a quality education. We value the relationship we will form with our child’s birthparents. We believe this will help our child live their truth. Our hearts are open to this process. Thank you for your consideration.

Warm Regards,
Tyrone & Nathan
