Julie and Luke
Hi!
We are Luke and Julie. We appreciate you taking the time to learn about us. We wish you the best as you make this difficult decision, and encourage you to follow your heart as you know what is right for you and your baby. In the meantime, we would like to let you know more about us!
We met while working at a local hospital, and it didn’t take long to know that we had a connection. We have been married now for 7 years, and can’t believe how fast time goes by! The past 7 years have been great, packed with camping trips with friends, hiking; frequent trips to the coast, and of course, spending time with family. But our lives got even better with the addition of our dog Kona; she is the biggest sweetheart, loves her daily walks and enjoys children. She is definitely looking forward to having a playmate!
Our work life keeps us busy during the day, as we both work in a hospital. Luke manages a Nuclear Medicine department, and Julie works part-time as an Exercise Physiologist. When it comes to the evening time, you can say we are a pretty laid back couple. We enjoy spending quiet evenings at home, cooking together, and love having friends and family over for dinner. We make a great team, and have an agreement that if one person cooks, the other cleans up!
Shortly after we were married, Julie’s twin sister passed away and our relationship found a strength that wasn’t there before. This tragedy brought us closer together as a couple and solidified our relationship. We learned the value of support, love and communication, which now is the foundation of our relationship. We love that we now know as a couple we can get through anything.
We have been blessed with great family and friends, and are very thankful for what we have. We have always known that we wanted to start a family, and are very excited to be on this journey to becoming parents. We look forward to watching our child grow, and teaching him/her about what life has to offer. We understand how important it is for our child to know where they came from, and we envision building a committed relationship with you as the child grows. This aspect alone is why we chose open adoption, and feel happy and excited for this journey to begin!
