Jon and Keith
Dear Expectant Parent(s),
“It’s never too late to live happily ever after” displays on a decorative sign in our home, but is also a motto for how we live our lives. While our story for getting here may be different than yours, the ending of this story is one we probably all envision similarly; to create a new variation on happily ever after for a child that includes you as expectant parent(s) and the two of us as adoptive parents. We immensely respect your desire to find the most perfect fit for your child and appreciate your consideration of us during this tough process.
We are Jon (left) and Keith (right) and we have been together for 3 ½ years. We honored our deep love for each other during a Commitment Ceremony in 2009. During our years together, we have consistently talked about our desire to parent. After a lot of research, we decided that open adoption would be the best option for all parties involved. We could provide a stable, loving, and nurturing home for a child, while at the same time you could provide the child with a loving link to their heritage, traditions, and biology. We would be willing to travel to you or invite you to our home to maintain those connections.
We currently live on a tree-lined street in the suburbs of a large Midwestern city. Our friends would describe us as a fun-loving couple that enjoys the simpler things in life - friendship, family, and adventure. It is not unusual to find one or both of us dancing around the house to the latest hit song, playing volleyball and badminton together in our front yard, decorating the house for an upcoming holiday, or singing karaoke (badly) from the safety of our home. It is also not uncommon for one or more of these activities to end with one of us laughing until we are crying. We currently live with our two Springer Spaniels, Rossi and Hershey and our two cats, Sophie and Stewart.
Jon could be described as a passionate man who values both work and play. He loves the great outdoors and is especially fond of alpine skiing. Some day he hopes to have the opportunity to share this passion with a child. Traveling is another one of his hobbies, and he has been to many places as far away as Ukraine and Italy. He also enjoys spending time at home with friends and family.
Keith loves to let his inner child out through his use of humor, laughter, and silliness. He enjoys keeping himself healthy with regular exercise, outdoor activities including golfing and skiing, cooking, landscaping, and laughing with family and friends. He thoroughly enjoys traveling and has been to both Russia and Spain. He often pictures how he can share his love and life passions with a child.
We yearn for a house filled with unconditional love and understanding for our child. We want to provide our child with a promising future while maintaining his or her links to the past. We cannot wait to immerse our child in a life filled with stability, learning, and adventure while honoring those who gave him or her life in the first place.
We look forward to inviting you into our lives and creating a dynamic, fun-loving, and permanent relationship with you and your child.
