Duc and Brian
Hello,
We are Duc (left) and Brian (right). We’ve been together for 8 years and we’re ready to share our hearts and life with a child. We live in a large Pacific Northwest city filled with opportunities for us to live a life that we are fortunate enough to enjoy.
Brian is a chatty and friendly project manager who loves all things computer-related and devours science fiction books. But life is not just lived in chairs, so Brian also loves to sail, and belongs to a local sailing club. Once the weather warms up, he gets to act as captain and take friends on summer sailing trips. We look forward to giving our child the opportunity to have as much fun as we do sailing the seas.
Duc is an avid tennis player who works in sales operations for a cell phone company. Duc is quiet and generous, with a sense of humor that cracks up the room. He’s a self-proclaimed fashion guru and the designer of our modern, industrial home. Duc was born in Vietnam but grew up in Texas after his Mom brought him and his four brothers and sisters to the US when he was a young child.
We love to travel to warm, sunny locales as a couple, as well as with family. In fact the picture above is from Hawaii. We often plan trips around large tennis tournaments so Duc can get in his fix of professional tennis, but also so Brian can enjoy soaking in the sun near the pool or ocean. Again we’re looking forward to introducing all these fun activities to our child.
Daily life for us tends to be focused on quiet evenings at home during the week with regular visits from our 4 ½ year old niece and her Mom. One of our greatest joys is watching our niece develop and grow into an incredible little person. We love spending time with her and sharing all that life has to offer, especially when it includes teaching her about her Asian heritage. Learning, reading, TV, and playing on the computer tend to be our evening activities. The weekends, particularly in the summers, is when we get out to enjoy the city with friends and family. Ordinary activities like going to the zoo, science museums, art fairs, beaches, swimming, sailing, library story time, dance classes, and gym play are all that much more extraordinary through the eyes of a child. Weekends are also when we tend to see our small circle of friends, whether it’s to enjoy brunch at a favorite restaurant, play tennis, or get some retail therapy downtown.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and learn more about our family. We wish your family the very best as you go through your journey. We want the parent(s) who entrust us with a child to know that our hearts are open, not only to the child, but to his/her birth family. We are truly ready to become parents but also know that our baby will find us when s/he’s ready.
With open hearts,
Duc & Brian
