HI! We are David & Tanya.
Thanks for taking a moment to get to know us. Here is a brief description of our lives. We have been together for over 4 years and feel very connected to each other. We are parenting David’s son and daughter from a prior marriage, and they live with us every other week. Avery is 11 years old and Olivia is 9 years old. We want very much to parent a child together and expand our family. When it became clear that we had infertility issues, we explored open adoption and are very excited about bringing a child and their birth family into our family.
We have a fantastic life together. We spend a lot of time together as a family. Traveling and visiting different parts of the world have always been a passion for us. Also, the great outdoors are constantly calling us to come out and play. We love to hike, go camping, boating, mountain biking and snow-boarding. We also have fun in our own backyard when we invite friends and family over to make s'mores over our fire pit. We live in a wonderful neighborhood on a dead-end street where all the neighbors get together from time to time. Lots of kids live in this neighborhood as we are in close proximity to several schools and parks.
Olivia, or Liv, as we call her, is a very sweet and tender child. She is a bit shy when it comes to crowds of people or new activities, but as each year passes she grows more confident about her surroundings. Olivia loves to make up games, take horseback riding lessons, and play with animals. She adores our two dogs DeltaRose, and Indi, who are both Australian Shepherds, and Boomerang our orange tabby cat. Avery is a gentle soul and is the salt of the earth type of kid. He is admired in school and is an excellent role model for his younger sister and cousins. He has a great sense of humor and has good control over when to use it. Avery loves to snowboard and play in the snow.
David feels Tanya is a warm-hearted woman with a passion for living. She has a gift for caring and is outgoing in all of her pursuits. Tanya is wise beyond her years and cares deeply for the well-being of all creatures, especially children. She enjoys long walks with our dogs, movies, traveling in any form to anywhere, and most importantly she enjoys home. Home is the place where Tanya most identifies. She makes it warm and inviting. She enjoys cooking and baking, particularly when the kids are with us.
Tanya feels David is a loving father and husband. He loves to compete in triathlons and go on long mountain bike rides by himself or with a couple of friends. He enjoys the outdoors immensely and is inspired by nature. When David is with his children he is focused on their needs, and spends time doing fun activities together such as snowboarding and biking. David also enjoys being home with the family listening to music or watching movies. He loves to travel and takes every opportunity for the family to visit diverse places.
David is a Professional Land Surveyor and has great passion for his professional pursuits. Tanya works in the adoption field and is equally passionate about her career. Our flexible schedules allow us to be available for our children when needed and we are fortunate to have extended family close by.
