Peter and Brady
Hello!
We are Brady (on the right) and Peter, and are excited to start our family! As far back as we can remember, we have both seen ourselves as fathers. We are nurturing people who love kids, and we look forward to opening our hearts to a child (or two). We met in 2006 and have enjoyed seeing our love grow and deepen over the past three years.
Brady is currently the president of a credit union, and Peter is a vice principal of a middle school. We enjoy these leadership positions, but we also strongly believe that family comes first, before our careers.
Peter about Brady: Brady is the passionate visionary and dreamer. He will talk excitedly (and a lot!) about our future together, or any other topic that interests him if you care to listen! Brady is very close to his family. He talks to them on a daily basis, and we spend virtually every holiday and birthday with them. Brady is also very creative. He loves to make/paint/knit/bake things, from colorful new bathroom tiles, to a woolen hat, to molasses cookies. Just show him a magazine picture of something cool, and he will make it! Although Brady likes to keep busy with his many hobbies, he also enjoys spending quiet time at home watching movies or reading in the bathtub. I love Brady for his tenderness, humor, and positive energy.
Brady about Peter: Peter is the realist and the workhorse behind my plans. Often you will find Peter’s nose buried in a book - he is the fastest novel reader I have ever met. Peter loves to be social and spend time with family and friends. Any excuse to meet someone for drinks or some fun activity, he’ll be there.
I think if he could, Peter would spend every waking minute outside. He walks the dogs daily, hikes on the weekends and camps whenever he can. In the winter, he cross-country skis and snowshoes. He is also very organized and has a knack for keeping the house and me on track. I love Peter’s willingness to try new things, his sense of humor, his brains and the fact that he tolerates my antics.
Right now we live in the city close to parks, restaurants, shops, museums, and theaters. Our dream, however, is to move to a farm not far from the city where we can raise animals and enjoy the quiet of nature. We love the outdoors, and we want to expand our current menagerie of three dogs, three cats, and four chickens to include goats, alpacas, sheep, and cows – just to name a few. Whether we live in the city or the country, we feel we have the right environment to raise a child. We are both very active, loving people, and plan to expose our child to many different experiences. We both play several musical instruments, and enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures.
We are choosing open adoption because we feel it is best for a child to know and have a relationship with his or her birthparent(s). If we seem like the right family for you, we would look forward to having a relationship with you over the years through visits, phone calls, pictures and emails. You and your family will always be welcome into our family’s life.
Thank you for reading our letter, and for considering us. We wish you the best of luck in your journey!
