...it’s our differences that help to bring out the best in each other while discovering the things that we love….

We love our relationship that we have nurtured, tortured, coddled and coerced for 18 years. We give it life through our open communication, mutual respect for individuality and always laughing at ourselves along the way.

We love expressing creativity through our work. Dave as an architect and Bill as a social worker and a stay at home dad, both paddling like heck to maintain some semblance of balance.

We love our extended families- Bill’s city family of three boys and Dave’s farm family of eight kids, with parents who showed us over the years how to mess up, make up and above all be the best person you can to the people around you.

We love our friends who join us on this ride as the years fly by, always on hand with bad ideas, worse memories, fun parties, loving support and food… always food.

We love the bond that we have formed with our daughter’s birthmother, Mama Annie. Filled with mutual respect we look forward to spending more time with her as our families grow and thrive.

Above all we love being dads for our adopted daughter, Gabriella, who turned 3 in February 2009. We love sharing our crazy, boring, messy, frustrating, rewarding, adventurous life with a kid who gets a close up view of a relationship between two different people who hold it all together for that one thing we all need, family.
