Anita and Scott

Dear Birthparent(s):

Finding the right family to provide a loving and supportive home for your child must be an extremely difficult decision. We are awed by the enormity of this process and would like to express our sincere respect and thanks to you for considering us in the plans for your child’s future.

We are Anita and Scott and dream of welcoming a child into our Seattle home. Our relationship is more than 14 years strong, and we enjoy spending time with one another as well as on our own. Together, we hike and travel to National Parks and other scenic destinations. We visit museums and attend the theatre and musical concerts. Our day jobs are in the arts — Scott is a mount maker at a large museum and Anita works for a well-known glass artist. We are blessed with loving family members and surrounded by a wonderful, diverse group of friends and neighbors who will help us create a warm, friendly and supportive environment for our child.

Anita has a passion for singing. She is a frequent soloist for a symphonic chorus and has contributed vocals to movies like Pirates of the Caribbean and Spider Man II. Singing lullabies to a baby is something she looks forward to. In the kitchen, she experiments with new recipes, incorporating fresh vegetables from the garden. She is excited about having a child to help lick the icing off the spoon. An avid fiction reader, Anita hopes to build a “library” for her child and share bedtime stories.

Scott regularly takes on home improvement projects such as our wonderfully remodeled kitchen and bathroom and plans to teach our child how to use basic tools. Scott also likes anything on wheels. On weekends, he tinkers with his car and visits the local racetrack to watch all kinds of car racing. Scott envisions restoring a classic sports car from the 1960s, so we have been spending time looking for a house with a BIG garage. A bigger house would be ideal as our family grows too.

Young at heart and enthusiastic about life, we want to share love and laughter with our child. We will play with plastic duckies in the bathtub, attend school plays, teach our child to swim, and put band-aids on boo-boos. We envision our child sitting on Santa’s lap and learning to ride a bicycle. We imagine our child will have many things to teach us as well.

Should you choose adoption, we look forward to developing and nourishing a relationship with you that will enable you to remain involved with your child for a lifetime. If you believe we might have something in common, we would welcome the opportunity to meet you.

Warm regards,
Anita and Scott
