About OA&FS: Our Mission
Open Adoption & Family Services (OA&FS) supports pregnant women/couples making decisions about parenthood in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. When the choice is adoption, we help plan child-centered open adoptions. We assist birthparents and adoptive parents as they create healthy, long-term relationships that address the ongoing needs of the child.
Please see our Contact Us page or call 1-800-772-1115 to find a location near you.
We are a private, nonprofit adoption agency with a progressive approach to building healthy families. We began providing services to birthparents and adoptive parents in Oregon in 1985. We expanded our programs to Western Washington in the early 1990s and to Eastern Washington in 1998. OA&FS is licensed by the states of Oregon and Washington and has offices in Portland, Eugene, Medford and Seattle. Since we were established in 1985, we've completed more than 1,000 open adoption placements.
