"We so appreciate our relationship with the adoptive family, and I credit OA&sFS for providing the structure and support to make that happen."

-- Lisa Garfield, birth grandmother and author of For Love of a Child: Stories of Adoption

Birth Grandparents are often an integral and meaningful part of open adoption relationships and plans. Below are some tools, resources and stories addressing birth grandparents’ specific needs and points of view. In addition to these resources, OA&sFS maintains a mentor program in which it matches birthgrandparentsgoing through an adoption process with others who have been in their shoes. Please call the agency if you are interested in connecting with a fellow birth grandparent.
